
La Rochelle coach Ronan O’Gara has been banned for six weeks for disrespecting a match official throughout his aspect’s 23-21 High 14 win over Lyon this month.
The High 14’s disciplinary fee stated the incident was of a “larger diploma of gravity”.
A further two-week penalty for Eire legend O’Gara’s earlier disciplinary document was counter-balanced by his request for forgiveness.

O’Gara was promoted to the highest teaching position on the membership in April 2021 after Jono Gibbes departed for Clermont. He took La Rochelle to the Champions Cup title, beating outdated rivals Leinster within the ultimate in Marseille, in his first season in cost.
O’Gara, 45, was investigated by French top-flight officers in April after a touchline confrontation with Bordeaux-Begles counterpart Christophe Urios.
Neither man was punished over their argument.
O’Gara gained 128 Eire caps and performed for the British and Irish Lions on their 2001, 2005 and 2009 excursions.
